My 300 is in pretty good shape and I have tried to plow with a 3-14 john deere. In our ground around here it is not a 3 plow tractor, in places I could run ok but others I just ran out of steam and weight, and trying to plow that way takes all the fun out of it. I have found a nice 2-14 IH plow since then but have never used it yet. From my experience you will be much happier with 2 bottoms but keep in mind as others have said it all depends on the type of soil. Brian
