I think Haas is right about the weight. Get as much weight on the rear tires as possible and chains too if you can. The wheel with the least traction generally spins on these old tractors. No diff lock. You can use the brakes a little
in a pinch. Not sure how steep a grade you can plow but you can almost always plow downhill.
