Looks like a hydrogen boom I've hooked 12 volt to 6 a lot of times but you never hook up the 6 volt last or unhook it first since the 12 volt will try to charge the 6 volt. Thats like you turn off the charger before unhooking the wires to the battery or you can get the same thing
