SAM if you get a upperhousing for a thermostat you will find that the hole in the housing where the hose fits is larger than the outlet on the radiator so you will have to do some stretching of the hose or make some type of collar on the radiator to compensate for the different sizes. If i were to do this i would find a thermostat that would fit original housing. As HUGH said this is a warm weather job when you dont need the tractor for a while.
