Have you ever had the head off or know that the head has ever been off? From first hand experience, I replaced a head gasket and noticed that the water jacket holes were smaller than the original. This caused the Super A to overheat. I went back to the supplier and found that there are two different head gaskets available for C-113 motors. One with small water jacket holes for motors with water pumps and one with large water jacket holes for motors without water pumps. I replaced the gasket again with the larger holes and that was the cure.
