I have an McD cream seperator. It has the motor mounted to the side of the post opposite the spouts. You cannot see an belts, gears, pulleys, ect. Can anyone tell me what model it is. It is a 40s/50s era seperator tho, I do know that. My dad bought my aunts McD at her sale and they used it for awhile. Dad still has theres, Before that they had a little Devel mounted on a big seperator base, and before that a big MW that had seperate flat belt motor. I always wondered how that motor could start barily running and not burn up as a kid. They used Ryleys Oil in it. I havnt seen that in a 1/2 century nearly. I have had to crank it many times when the electric went out. That was work for a 6 yr old kid. I went outside, on the line milking by hand when i was 8. Usta have a good muscle between my thumb and first finger. Its pretty spongy now ha ha.
