I was wondering about that. I was going to try it, but I had a feeling it might not change my end play on my brake shaft. I'm having a hard time grasping just how this housing should be, even though I'm sure its simple to a lot of people. Your post helps-the drum clamps the outside bearing-but my bearing looks and feels good after I have it out. I can't figure out why I have so much (end play), it seems like it ought to be obvious. Anyway,,,,Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it.
