Rule # 2: You can always go down on price, but going up just makes you look stupid.

I traveled an hour each way to look at a nice $5,200 (confirmed price prior to travel) tractor that I would have bought on the spot if the guy hadn't jumped the price $600 when we met in person. I'll never, ever do business with him again. Just my 2 cents
