I've had my run-ins with the "serious" types too. Met the guy who sold me my M on this site. He was an older, middle Illinois churchman who always had something caustic on his lips...usually wrapped around a biblical citation. He even went so far as to calculate my average drive speed when I came to inspect the tractor and then lectured me on Illinois traffic law. You have to cut them some slack, they don't know any better. On the other hand...he made sure I knew what I was doing before he turned the tractor over! I guess that's what makes a site like this so good. Lot's of different kinds of people with one common interest. Could do without the ads for $8000 M's, though.
