But I don;t understand why I should disconnect the front end. The front-end is connected to the transmission (independently from the engine) by some long heavy bars that bolt to the bellhousing. If I pull the engine, the front-end and transmission are still connected... although it would be weak without a heavy jackstand.
I'm not argueing your reasoning, just trying to understand it. Please reply.
