Never get off the tractor with the PTO running. Never! Never allow anyone to ride on the drawbar if there is an implement or wagon hitched on. Never attach logs or anything to the wheels if you are stuck. Go get someone to pull you out. It is safer to go up and down hills than to go along the side. Lock the brake pedals for road gear use, but first be sure the brakes are adjusted so both pedals operate at the same level. Always shut off the engine when gassing up. Stray sparks from old plug wires can ignite fumes. Shut off the battery charger before removing the cables, or a spark may ignite the hydrogen fumes from the charged battery. If someone is hitching up an implement or wagon to your drawbar, have the tractor in neutral and the clutch up before they get between the tractor and implement.
