Super C wide front ?

I thought a wide front would help with running over the ends of the tomato and squash vines when cultivating. Now that I have put a wide front on the C, the turning circle is so large (I think it's worse than the H), it will make it difficult to get right back into the next two rows. Is there anything that I can do to make it turn sharper ? I believe that it is off a '53 Super C. Are these front ends fragile? Some of the parts look kind of spindly. Thanks Greg
