Rings around mainfold and air cleaner opening?

I have been deciding whether or not to put chrome rings around the manfold and air cleaner openings on my H. There is quite a bit of gap between the pipes and the sheet metal, so it could be done. It might cut back on some of the exhaust residue getting on the good paint on my hood. Any body recommend putting chrome rings around the pipes? I think Harley Davidson makes some that might work. Just an idea to give the tractor a little class.
Any comments?
