All 1971-76 715 IH gas combine engines are 301 cubes.I have a parts 715 IH gas combine with a good running 301 and one of these days if I ever leave this computer long enough its going to jump in my 1961 460 gas with a shot 221. There are a few things you have to change to do this such as oil filter base,front cover,etc if I remembered right.I have it all wrote down some where. Here is a list of IH combine gas engines. 303= C221 65 hp 403= C263 90 hp 503= C282 106 hp 615= C263 80 hp 715= C301 107 hp All from the original sales lit.Have owned a 403 and (2) 715 gas combines.
