I like the 310 the best I have a 460 with a 236 same as 282 only shorter stroke. Like Brian said 100 degree day you will use the glow plugs and if you drink water over 15 min. you will use them again. If you are going 310 Rt. step up to a 756 for just a few more $ the shifter is better. I have a 706 and a 756.
