I have a neighbor who has farmed a few hundred acres for several years now using a Farmall 340 and a Farmall 766, this is a row crop, corn and soybean operation. The 340 was used for just about everything except for the heavy tillage operation. It pulled the 4 row corn planter with ease and would go places the heavier 766 could not go. Overall, I think the 340 is a very good tractor, and not as small as you might think.
