Hi, if it a Diesel, it should be a German build 3 cylinder 179D engine that is used on 454, 484, 495. My brother has both 454 and 495, the only major difference on engine was a different injector pump and a peheater in the manifold for cold starting.
I am not positive but maybe same rods as in 674 and 684. IH parts man should be able to tell you. Good luck
