I have done it every imaginable way. If you can get the fan blades off, the pump will come out if you unhook the upper hose and move the top of the radiator forward. It will also come out with the fan blades on and the radiator tipped forward. You have to pull it through the governor side with the top vent tube removed from the governor and the shroud on the radiator unbolted and straddle and rotate the fan blades over the governor assembly as you angle it out.
