Trust me on this one, border collies are great mousers. Every one I've ever known can kill more rats and mice than a terrier. They do it for fun, or maybe: knowing how much we hate the little devils they do it to please us. Mine caught a mouse live and gave it to a kitten to kill. Smartest dogs I ever knew.
