Thank you, Cowman. When I put them back in, do I just use a common piston ring compressor? The rest of the story - the crankshaft is stuck, so I can't get the piston out. I detached the transmission and removed #2 and #3 (#4 will have its rod cap off tomorrow). I'm going to try to move the crank after all the pistons are off it, but I think the camshaft is stuck, too. I also can't get the oil pump out - I removed the two bolts, but it won't come out (it looks like it's in good shape, though).
