After sitting in the shed for a little over a month, the H is running again. It needed a rebuild for a host of reasons, not the least being getting tired of having my nieghbor and his JD diesel 70 pass me when we are plowing. Marty is a great guy and a lot of help, but having to pull out at the end of the furrow to let him go by .... I always have a better appreciation / understanding of equipment once I have had them all apart and put back together again. This is really an easy tractor to work on. Simple, sturdy, an elegant design in an agricultural sort of way. No tricky stuff. No need for an extra joint between your elbow and wrist. Except for mounting the radiator. With the same exhaust it seems quieter than before.
It is no wonder that they sold so many of them. Greg
