Right rear corner bolt on the seat pan on most IH seats will work. My dad hitched the trip rope to the seat spring one time....only once. He it a rock, and when the plow unhooked, it pulled the spring out and the seat dropped like a rock! I spent a lot of time on an H with a 2-14" trailing plow as a kid. When the old rope that was on it broke one day, I replaced it with a long v-belt that had been thrown in the trash. I cut it, fastened one end to the trip lever, and threaded the other end through the ring on the end of the furrow wheel lever. By folding the belt back and fastening it to make a loop on the end, it was always a short reach and I had the loop to grab instead of just a straight line. Didn't have to re-hook it every time I lost the plow, either!
