We had a 300U which my dad bought new in 1955 and had the 350U style clutch put on it by the IH dealer in about 1957. The clutch does push down alot easier with the new style linkage. I would say it is worth the cost.
I bought the 300U on dads farm sale in 1975 and still have it and use it to move snow with a 2 point blade and run augers. cbl in IA.
