So I went and did it. Got a 48 M, #163855 for $1700.00. I was a Ford man up until now, but I just wanted an M. To me the M is the most tractory looking tractor out there. It's not like I needed another tractor. I have four now. Anyway I'll have a bunch of questions for you guys. It looks like it had live hydraulics added with a pump in front of the distributor. Looks like it was using the belly pump as a reservoir. The hoses to the rear are gone. And it has a belt pulley that doesnt turn. Could be low on fluid, there are leaks. What oil goes in the hydraulics? Is there a good site that describes the operation of this type of setup? Thanks in advance.
