A while ago I posted a question about low oil pressure in my 300U. I decided to check the oil pump and when I drained the oilpan I found a small quantity of antifreeze - not a good sign. I went to my local tractor mechanic and he thought that I should check the head gasket. The double sided metal gasket did not show obvious signs of failure. He also said that the head may be cracked as this is a problem with this engine. When I pulled the rocker arm cover, there was some antifreeze laying there with the cover covered with light colored frothy oil. Pistons and cylinder walls appear to be okay. Does it sound like a cracked head? The up side of this is that other improvements will be made while she is torn down.
