I bought a used set of C60 pistons and rods and when they came in, I did a quick-look and noticed the wrist pin area has some slack in each one--not just one of the assemblies, but all four. I haven't disassembled them yet--(too busy smoking thanksgiving hams and turkeys for the family) but plan to measure the rod bore and wrist pin diameter to see what's up. I assume that these are not usable as is--I don't usually see "slop" in wrist pin area, but this is my first experience with the Cub engines. These definitely have some slack and will probably make some racket if used as is. Any thoughts or comments from some C60 experts? Thanks

The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
