sickel mower on 230 question

I just bought a 2-point balanced head sickel mower and would like to use it on my 230.
my question is what do i need to raise and lower the cutter bar?
the guy i bought the mower from had it on a super-c that had a flat bar running from the touch control arms from the front of the tractor back to the piviot arm on the mower which raised and lowered the bar.
my tractor does not have powered arms on the front.it has a bar that moves the front arms when the 2-point hitch is raised and lowered.it all moves together.
so how do i get the bar to raise and lower witout moving the 2-point arms up and down?
sorry for the long post.
any sugestions would be greatly appreciated!
