Did a plymouth V-8 into a F-20 about 25 yr.s ago.Lengthened the framerails about 12" and used a 3 speed trans. back of the 273 c.i. motor. Worked great, also used a large plymouth radiator,it never overheated. Both transmissions in reverse and a bungie cord to hold the steering wheel, line it up straight between the rows of hay bales and you could load hay all by yourself. It was very scary with both in high gear.Ran the plymouth trans. in low most times, could keep the RPM up a bit on the motor, made piles of torque.Could lift the front wheels under most circumstances just by hauling back on the throttle lever.NOT the kind of machine to let a kid operate.Guess I could have hung some extra weight out front.Torch, welder, drillpress,a bit of backyard enginering--go for it!!
