jakee, I'd buy his argument if he has a WD45 or a WD with the 226 cu in "45" engine - which is apparently a common swap among AC owners. In stock shape, though, a WD with the 201 cu in engine is Nebraska rated at 25 pto hp while a H was rated at 24. Close enough. The WD45 with a 226 engine is rated at 38 hp. Reason I know all this is I went to an auction last weekend where they had a WD45 in "original" shape. I bid up to 1500 then stopped. They sold it for 2200 bucks. I'd looked up all the specs and figured the Allis WD45 would have more grunt than my H, but not as much as my JD60. (lest that starts an argument, the Allis is rated 38 hp at 1600 rpm, the JD is rated 40 hp at 850 rpm. Do the math and you'll see the JD has roughly twice the torque as the Allis). Anyway, I'd make a home for an AC WD45 if I can get it for about the same as I could get a nice M. That 2200 sticker was a tad higher.

Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos
