Super M on LP, Won't Start??

Have a chance to buy a Super M on LP. Was running a few weeks ago. Has spark, LP tank has gas. Cranks over, tries to start. But no way. Is there any tricks to get these old LP powered beast to start. Tractor really worth the money. Has new front tires. They want $1000. for it...
