Ironhorse you are asking one I sure never heard of, but let me ask this could it be that when you use the PTO you have the fast hitch in just a little different spot or using the hydraulic a little different. This is what I am getting at, the 460-560 hydraulics did just what you are saying for getting hot, hot enough to burn feet through shoes in cold weather. This is the deal if the fast hitch valve does not return to center it will cause high pressure on the hydraulics and you hot heat buld up. The other thing is the 460-560 had an unload valve to unload the hydraulics because it is an open center system so you need either a unload valve or a load valve as the newer tractors have. The unload valve will most likly fail in the loaded state the load valve more likly fail in the unloaded state. Tjis valve is infront of your feet with that tin around the valves. It will have 4 3/8 cap screws in a plate about 2 x 3" and the relief valve is in there to. There is a piston and ball seat in there if the o ring is bad or the seat or piston it could cause this be carful taken the plate off because of the relief valve spring, I take 2 screws out and put 2 longer ones in or it could pull the last threads out and be like a gun. If you have fast hitch could be linkage or the gears in the hitch valve. Hope I have help some.
