Bad spark plug seat on Super C

I have a Super C where the No. 1 spark plug hole is pitted in the seat. I put new plugs in last week, with new sealing rings of course, and as I turned the engine over I could hear air rushing past the No. 1 plug sort of like an open petcock on a John Deere. I torqued the plug down to spec but the metal sealing gasket won't seal. How am I supposed to go about fixing this? I have thought about trying to get in there with an endmill to true up the surface again, but that might be tricky. Has anybody run into this problem with these cylinder heads? Thanks.
