I would barter something with your grandmother. She most likly does not need the money and wants the tractor to stay in the family. Say you will do some repairs that need done or something. It will work out much better for the both of you I think. Personally I got my grandfathers tractor. He had 9 and now I think less then 1/2 are still in the family (only after 2 years). I know my grandmother wanted it to stay in the family. It had a broken engine and misc other stuff but it is special because it was my grandfathers.
