I have read several old posts dealing with gas quailty not being as good now with the addition of ethenal as in the old days. I have a I-544 4 cyl gas engine with what I believe to be the orginal compression (11:1). It has 4000+ hrs so the compression is most likely a little less. My question is what grade of gas are you all useing? My manual states to run 91 octane. I try to mix 93 and 89 togather to get 90. I felt 87 would not work due to per detentation issues. Am I wasteing extra money on the high quality gas I do not need?
