Hi Ray, we had a 300U back in the late 50s and when it started making noises and slow lifting it was time to clean the inlet screen on the input to the hydraulic pump. On the 300U it was located in the hydraulic reservoir under the seat and you had to take the complete top off the reservoir to clean the screen. I don't know where the Farmall version had the hydraulic reservoir but someone in this forum will help you. Good luck JB
