I suppose it depends on how badly the steering is worn, could be a simple fix, or you may need to completely rebuild the whole assembly. The new parts you will need are readily available so it basically depends on your skill level. If you can work on the John Deeres, the Farmalls will be just as easy. As for the belt pulley, if you need just the pulley, I see those on E-bay all the time, if you need the complete unit, check with any salvage yard, those should be about a dime a dozen.
