The shafts now are cylinderical ground, but I suppose you could turn one up on a lathe and polish it up. I wouldn't think they were made of anything more than mild steel, but Stress Proof would be nice, but 4130 or 4340 would be better, or 303(???) stainless. I don't have any clue what the F20 cylinders mic at.
