Pull rear pump? The hydraulic pump on a 706 is located on the left side of tractor about roughly in the middle. There is a plate with two hoses/lines attached to it. Disconnect these and then remove the cap screws that secure the plate to the tractor. When you take the plate out the hydraulic pump will come with the plate. then you remove the 4 screws that hold the pump onto the plate. The power steering pump is bolted piggy back to the hydraulic pump. BEFORE doing this, you can test the hydraulic pump with a gauge that reads 1,000 to 3,000 PSI. You bush the gauge to 1/2" pipe thread and screw a standard pioneer male tip to this (assuming your remotes are standard Pioneer females). Then you simply plug this into your remotes and pull the handle on your hydraulic levers. The gauge should read about 1150 PSI give or take. If the reading is well below 1000 PSI then your pump is bad (this is of course assuming you have eliminated the relief valve and hydraulic filter as you had stated above). Sorry for the long post.
