Huston, do you have fire at the coil ? on the 140 there is a wire that runs from the hot side of your ignition to the coil it runs along the left side of the tractor in the wire loom. it should have a connector to the ignition switch behind the panel check the wire connection on the coil make sure its hooked to the Ign side of your coil then check and see if you have power there with switch on? if not run a jumper from battery to the coil and try to start the tractor if it fires up you need to start tracing the Ign wire first place to look for a problem after the coil is behind the dash panel the previous owner of my 140 could not get it to start it cranked but no start i found the wire disconected behind the panel tractor gave same symtoms as yours
