On the C, removing the PTO assembly willnot give full access to the transmission. The mounting bolts are the same as the A, but there is not a full sized hole there, only small openings for the shaft, etc. I think best would be to let it drain for at least 24 hours and then refill with gear oil. If what comes out looks really bad, then do it again in a month or two. If you do the diesel fuel flush, I'd suggest jacking up the tractor and running it that way to agitate. No load on the bearings and less chance of any damage that way.
