Why would you need to retorque your connecting rods? If they have worked loose, it was because of improper assembly, and the inserts are probably damaged. I have heard of torque-turn on connecting rod bolts, and retorqueing heads after running, but never have I heard of a manufacturer requiring main bearing caps or rod bolts to be re-torqued after assembly.
As far as the oil, drain it into a clean container and reuse it, but for <$20, what is the point.
