Farmall Super AV Differences

I bought a farmall super av that I am planning to restore. My questions are first of all what type of engines can be correct for the Super AV. I believe mine has a 123 engine in it as it has a water pump. The problem is the hood doesn't fit exactly right. It seems that the radiator is a bit far forward for the hood area to sit down properly. This is what has led some to say my motor is the wrong one. How do I tell which motor I have, what ones are correct, and if I have a correct engine how will I get the hood to fit better? I don't think I can move the radiator back without getting into the fan due to the water pump. The old tractor is rough but runs and I hate not to restore it since it is a high crop. Anybody's help is appreciated.
