Some Cub Lo-Boys came equipped with starter/generators in the late 60's/early 70's - a buddy of mine has one in his collection. But it's a poor starting arrangement. The battery must be full, the generator in perfect shape, the belt clean and tight, etc. or the motor won't crank. Any trace of moisture of the belt (even overnite dew) makes the belt slip and leaves the tractor DOA.
