HUGH - If You read my post again closely I said Some gears in the Farmall & utility will be the same. Don't know what you tore up in Your 300 FARMALL but I bet that affected what Your Parts guy told you 25 yrs ago. Get out pictures of a 300/350 Utility and compare them to the FARMALL. You'll see why I say No casting interchangability. I have a 1958 vintage 300/350 parts book on the Farmall and Hi-Clears. Find a Utility parts book and We can compare numbers. Then We'll BOTH Know for sure right?
