Les, As they say -- where's there's life, there's hope. Here's hoping that you can put new life into that old Farmall. Surely does look like a fun project. First thing I'd do is replace that goofy seat. But that's my life, maybe not yours. Whether or not you got a good deal is probably best measured by how much fun you have working on it, and solving all its problems. Kinda like that Mastercard ad: Old Farmall A: 700 bucks. Tools, parts and expenses to bring it back to life: 1,200 bucks. First time you start your restored tractor and drive it around: Priceless! Here's hopin' you get to the priceless stage fairly soon.
