Dave is right, mount as you please. My personal opinion is, they look better bolted on the inside. However the front end would be slightly more stable and less likely to sink in soft ground or ball up in mud if they were bolted on as wide as you can get them. But a couple of down sides to having them wide is, it will be slightly harder to steer and possibly more apt to wobble at faster speeds if you have some parts wore out in the steering. Just my 2 cents.
