The timing pointer is a raised line (or a groove), haven't looked lately, on the cast piece directly behind the oil pan, It is of a length and width that it is very easy to see. The mark on the flywheel itself is very thin, and may or may not include numbers; it is very hard to see. Clean off the flywheel, use a flashlight or a drop light, turn the flywheel with a screwdriver in the gear, and I promise you will find it. The mark is on the edge of the flywheel in front of the teeth, as you look at the flywheel from the rear.
