Go to IH/Case for the head gasket, many of the aftermarket are not recommended by people on this board. When you do replace it, make sure the two surfaces are clean, and spray some metalic paint on the head gasket. This paint will help seal the gasket better. After you install it, replace the head gasket, torque the bolts to 5 lbs below the recommend, stating from the inside out. Then go back and torque to the correct amount. You should be able to find the capacity for the transmission in the archieves, I can't remember what exactly it is. Also make sure you give the indside a good cleaning buy taking the gear shifter off. Mine was full of crap. Hope this helps. Brian.
