Is your H still positive ground? if it is the positive side of the coil should go to the distributor. However you should still have spark apparently the points are not working right they may be not grounding or misadjusted or badly burnt. what I usually do is hold your coil wire close to a ground and work your points with a screwdiver just to see if you are getting spark there ok.sometimes there may be just a little dirt between them Good Luck.
