I have experienced that problem twice: 1. when debris in the fuel line got on my needle valve (the cub would die, then would start in a few minutes when the particle floated back up the line, then would die as soon as the particle was pulled down to the needle valve) 2. most recently, I burnt out my coil and my condenser when I ran the cub on a 12V battery for a few minutes--my 6v was dead and I wanted to impress a friend on how well my cub ran. I checked every plug, every wire, coil wire, took carb apart to check needle valve, changed condenser and coil and bingo--it finally ran like a top.
